Hi! I’m Jens Bols
Founder of OldCamsByJens
If you’re here, chances are you’ve got a soft spot for analog (or digital) cameras, just like I do.
I’m not a large company with a team of technicians or a fancy customer support department. It’s just me behind the scenes, sourcing, testing, and restoring every single camera. I’m also the one answering your questions, packing your orders, and personally bringing them to the post office.
How It All Started
I started OldCamsByJens three years ago, a few months after finding one of my mother’s old point and shoot 35mm film cameras. I was immediately intrigued and started shooting film right away, and since then, I haven’t been able to stop.
As I got deeper into the hobby, and because I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset, I decided to combine my passion for photography and business. I began searching for more cameras, picking them up at flea markets and online marketplaces, and even buying small collections from collectors.
Once I had a solid selection, I opened my Etsy store. After a few years of selling there and receiving great reviews, I decided to take the next step and launch my own online shop, the one you’re visiting right now.
What I Do
Running my own shop allows me to offer fair prices while maintaining the same level of personal service I’ve always valued. Every order is shipped directly from Belgium, packed with care by me.
So far, I’ve had the pleasure of helping over 3,000 customers. Their feedback and trust have been a huge part of what keeps me improving and growing.
Values
I believe in transparency, circular economy, and giving old gear a new life. Buying used gear shouldn’t feel uncertain, it should feel exciting.
